Mayor Bullen gets a death threat

Dauis mayor Roman “Amoi” Bullen confirmed that he received a death threat based on information gathered during a telephone interview with The Bohol Tribune on Oct. 21, 2022.
The mayor said that a piece of paper placed inside a small brown envelope was left in front of the gate of his house in barangay Mariveles, Dauis.
The threat, according to Mayor Bullen, was in the form of a short message written on the piece of paper saying: “Moi, isang bala ka lang”.
Moy refers to the shorter form of Mayor Bullen’s nickname which is “Amoi”.
Reports say that a bullet was placed inside the small brown envelope together with the piece of paper left at the gate of the mayor’s house on Oct. 14, 2022.
As this developed, Bullen said he is not afraid despite getting a death threat.
He already had the incident recorded in the police blotter and decided to beef up his security as a result of the incident as a form of precaution, he told The Bohol Tribune.
Although the mayor is not worried about the threat, he is now extra careful about his safety.
The mayor remains clueless as to who is behind the threat against him.
