Tagb bags Most Business Friendly award from PCCI

Tagbilaran City bagged the Most Business Friendly City Award (City Level 3) given by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) during the awarding ceremonies held on Oct. 19, 2022.

The PCCI regularly conducts the search for local government units (LGU) which have provided an encouraging climate for businesses.

This year, PCCI is on the lookout for LGUs which have been successful in restoring business confidence and operations in their area thru significant and sustained innovative actions despite the extreme challenges brought about by the pandemic and various calamities.

The awards initiative of the PCCI aims to highlight an LGU’s success story and best practices:

City Mayor Jane Yap recognized the significant contribution of the entire City Government in the realization of the latest accolade.

“This is a real team effort. Tagbilaran City is able to strike a balance between safeguarding health and revitalizing the local economy by a dynamic synergy among the local government, business sector, and the community. The support and cooperation of each sector made the local economy and business enterprises successful,” Mayor Jane Yap said.   

Tagbilaran City made sure it highlighted its efforts in establishing confidence among the business owners in Tagbilaran City.

Mayor Jane Yap also emphasized her flagship project on digitalization.

The local chief executive of Tagbilaran City stressed the importance of transforming Tagbilaran into a smart city.

No less than President Maecos Jr. presented the award to Tagbilaran City during the PCCI’s 48th Philippine Business Conference.
