Mayors attended the 1st meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Bohol chapter under the leadership of new president Buenavista mayor Dave Duallo, according to reports.
The meeting was held on Oct. 21, 2022 at a hotel in Tagbilaran City where according to Duallo, at least 30 mayors out of the 47 local chief executives were present.
The topics discussed in the meeting included issues regarding the Protected Areas Management and Development, concerns with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Seal of Good Local Governance among others.
Moreover, the LMP members also passed a resolution asking the national government to suspend or extend the deadline for the full implementation of the devolution of services.
The mayors also passed a resolution congratulating Gov. Aris Aumentado for being chosen as the chairman of the Regional Development Council
by President Marcos Jr.
