“Black Adam” at Screenville Cinemas

        Hollywood muscleman Dwayne Johnson stars as DC Comics antihero in the film adaptation of the same name, “Black Adam”, now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

        A slave in Kahndaq 5,000 years ago, Black Adam is a ruthless keeper of justice, a judge, a jury, and an executioner. He believes in an eye for an eye and he will always do everything he can to protect and liberate his people, delivering his own brand of justice. He was granted the powers of the Gods and was originally referred to as Mighty Adam.

After a thousand years of imprisonment, Black Adam is unleashed into modern times. His brute tactics and way of justice attract the attention of the Justice Society of America, who tries to stop his rampage, teach him how to be a hero more than a villain, and must team up to stop a force more powerful than Adam himself.

The leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation as they mourn the loss of their king in the much-awaited sequel to Marvel Comic’s “Black Panther” in 2018, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which will premiere worldwide on November 9, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

           In the wake of King T’Challa’s death, the nation of Wakanda is pitted against intervening world powers which targeted Wakanda’s vibranium, unleashing chaos. The leaders — Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) – must band together against the invading forces, as a new threat also emerges from the hidden undersea nation of Talokan. A mysterious Mexican civilization actually rises from the depths of the sea.

          As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must fight to defend the nation with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for their nation.

“BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER” will premiere worldwide on November 9, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
