BPPO chief eyes on drug supply reduction as top priority

The newly-minted chief of Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) has his eyes on reducing the drug supply in the province.

Col. Lorenzo Batuan told reporters that he wants to crackdown on the drug supply as his top priority.

Batuan, who hails from Danao town, assumed his new role as Bohol’s top cop on Oct. 31, 2022 after replacing Col. Osmundo Salibo who is about to retire within this month.

He said he will intensify the effort to reduce the drug supply in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

It can be noted that the drug supply in Bohol is imported from other provinces considering that there is no known drug manufacturing facility here.

Moreover, Bohol’s top cop is also looking at intesifying the information, communication and education drive to deter Boholanos from using illegal substances such as shabu.
