Sumaylo couple files rap versus Dauis mayor

Vice Mayor Marietta Sumaylo and Liga ng mga Barangay-Dauis chapter presiddent Josever Sumaylo, have filed a case today, Nov. 3, 2022 against Dauis mayor Roman “Amoi” Bullen before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.

The couple’s lawyer, Lord Marapao IV, said that the Sumaylo camp accuses Bullen of grave oral defamation, libel, and grave misconduct.

After the filing before Provincial Prosecutor Nilo Ahat, the Sumaylo camp will proceed to the Ombudsman-Visayas to complete the process, according to Marapao.

The case stems from the allegations aired by Bullen in a speech on Oct. 10, 2022 where the Dauis mayor alleged that the Sumaylo couple is involved in the illegal drug trade.

The Sumaylo couple denied any involvement in drug-related activities.
