Kalag-Kalag 2022 in Central Visayas ‘generally peaceful’ PRO7 says

PBGen Roderick Augustus Alba

The Region Police Office 7 (PRO7) announced on Nov. 3, 2022 that the observance of the Kalag- kalag 2022 in Central Visayas was collectively peaceful, and no major untoward incidents were noted.

PRO7 Director Police Brigadier General Roderick Augustus Alba said the peaceful observance of the Kalag-kalag showed the kind of cooperation the community can display during huge occasions.

The provinces of Cebu, Negros Oriental, Siquijor and Bohol are within the jurisdiction of the PRO 7.

“Every major activity accomplished by Team PNP Region 7 reiterates our commitment to giving our Central Visayas public the best service they truly deserve. On the other hand, I convey my gratitude to those who did their part to ensure that the people affected directly by Typhoon “Paeng” were safe and secure in their homes and localities. Team PNP Region 7’s reinforced preparation and more astute response to the storm have greatly benefited our Central Visayas highland and lowland communities,” he said.

“We are able to get the cooperation and collaboration of the community because they also see us, their police, as their ally,” he added.
