The dead body that was found in Dauis town on Oct. 31, 2021 gets identified by the authorities several hours after the discovery.
According to the Dauis police, the fatality is identified as Eugelio Hondanero, 59, of barangay Songculan, Dauis town.
It was reported that the dead person’s body was found floating off the waters of Riverside, barangay Songulan.
The victim was a caretaker of fishing boats parked off the shore of the said barangay.
Based on initial investigation the cause of death is drowning. There are no apparent evidence of foul play detected.
Apparently, the victim was intoxicated and decided to sleep inside one of the boats and he fell off the boat while in his sleep which led to the drowning incident. (Joshua Fullido)
