The fabled image of Birhen sa Simala has arrived in Bohol for a 3-day visit.
This is known to be miraculous and is permanently based in Sibonga town, Cebu province.
The image arrived here from Argao, Cebu and landed at Catagbacan port, Loon, on Nov. 7, 2022, reports say.
From Loon, the image was transported via a motorcade to Tagbilaran City and will stay at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church at barangay Poblacion 2.
The said church will be open for 24 hours until Nov. 10, 2022 as the image will return to its permanent shrine in Sibonga town on the said date.
A welcome mass was celebrated by Tagbilaran bishop Alberto Uy as Msgr. Jeff Malanog is set to celebrate the farewell mass on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022.
