Newly-installed assistant secretary Virgilio Mendez sees his new position is a way to help farmers especially in Bohol.
He mentioned this during a radio interview over Open Forum on Nov. 22, 2022, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.
The new assistant secretarys said, it is impostant to help the farmers as this will have an impact on food security.
As this developed, he hopes to network with key provincial officials of Department of Agrarian Reform and look for ways to help farmers.
Mendez took his oath of office on Nov. 21, 2022 as the new assistant secretary of the said department. Mendez used to be a mayor of San Miguel town and now replaced by his son Ian Gil.
