TUPAD program to continue, Chatto says

Cong. Edgar Chatto stressed that he will work for the continuation of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers program known as TUPAD in the new year. This is for affected the workers in the 1st district of Bohol.

The congressman said that he is working closely with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the sustainability of the program.

The said program helped displaced and disadvantaged workers especially during the height of the pandemic earn a living through the cash-for-work scheme.

The TUPAD program extends employment opportunities for some displaced/disadvantaged workers to earn a living even for 10 days.

The workers are then paid a salary of equal to the minimum wage prevailing in their areas for 10 days under the TUPAD program.
