Bohol produces 1st Badjao nurse

One of the passers of the nursing licensure examinations is from the Badjao group living in Bohol, according to a post of Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo.

Reports identify the newly-minted nurse from the Badjao group as Maria Carla Telmo. She is the 1st Badjao who passed the licensure examinations for nurses.

Telmo is among the passers of the National Licensure Examination for Nurses given on November 11 and 12, 2022 and a proud graduate of the Holy Name University.

Moreover, she is the Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2019 second runner-up and was raised at the Badjao community in barangay Totolan, Dauis.

According to reports, she now resides in barangay Booy, Tagbilaran where she was also crowned as a former Miss Booy.

The Professional Regulation Commission reported that about 18,529 nursing graduates out of 24,903 examinees passed the nursing licensure examinations given in several testing centers in the country just recently.
