The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sees no weather disturbance coming this Christmas day affecting Bohol.
Ariel Abalos of the PAGASA made a statement in a radio interview over Open Forum on Dec. 13, 2022, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.
Abalos said the weather disturbance known as “Rosal” already dissipated and has become a low pressure area.
He added that people should expect occasional rains due to the intertropical convergence zone during Christmas day.
The news of a fair weather during Christmas day is a welcome event to Boholanos who suffered from the onslaught of a strong typhoon on Dec. 16, 2021 and yet to fully recover with some whose homes are yet to be restored.
Last year, Boholanos celebrated Christmas day under the candlelight as power was unavailable when the special towers delivering electricity to Bohol were toppled and restored fully after several months.
