City Mayor Jane Yap encouraged all business owners in Tagbilaran City to renew their business permits early to avoid the rush as the local government unit (LGU) opens the business permit renewal season starting on Jan. 3, 2023 and ends on Jan. 20, 2023.

For 3 years now, Tagbilaran City has maintained its recognition as the Most Business Friendly LGU with more than P504 million in capital infused from businesses in 2022.

With a very vibrant business community, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) has taken all measures to improve its methods  and processes to make it easier for business owners to renew their business permits with the help of digital technology.

Just recently, the BPLO released an advisory informing business owners that the application for barangay clearance has already been integrated with the e-permitting system.

Thus, starting January 2023, in line with the law on the Ease of Doing Business, business owners who are renewing their permits no longer need to physically secure the required clearance from their respective barangays.

While a barangay clearance continues to be a requirement in the business permitting process, the City Government of Tagbilaran has integrated the process of securing a barangay business clearance with the main renewal process in the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) and e-BOSS (online BOSS).

This reinforces the City Government’s thrust of digitalizing government processes. For online applications, clients are directed to log in at the official website of Tagbilaran City, www.tagbilaran.gov.ph;  register an account by clicking the e-Business Permitting and Licensing Portal; fill out the necessary information;  and a confirmation notice will be sent to your email.

As for the payment, one can just click the link provided in the email and pay using online channels.

An electronic official receipt will be sent to your email after successfully completing the transaction. Then wait for 1 to 3 working days for the delivery of the business permit.
