<strong>Oliva, companions fulfill promise to fire victims</strong>

Former Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) administrator Benjie Oliva and companions fulfill their promise to the Poblacion 2 fire victims as the former distributed assistance (like school supplies, etc.) to around 70 children during a simple activity on Jan 3, 2023.

Oliva fulfilled his promise to the fire victims together with staff members from the office of Coun. Melvin Torralba and members from the  Metrowalk Eagles Club.

The promise of Oliva was to provide school supplies to the children who were victims of the fire that engulfed part of Gallares St. this city. The children, who had to go back to school last Jan. 4, 2023, were very thankful that they had, in one way or another, a replenishment of what they lost in terms of school supplies. 

It can be remembered that a huge conflagration erupted along Gallares street in Poblacion 2 on Dec. 23, 2022 affecting 75 families and killing 3 persons.

Earlier, the Oliva and his wife gave members of the Seaside Neighborhood Association (SEANA) P50,000 in cash as assistance.

Moreover, the Olivas committed to help Greaymar Manzano, another fire victim, by providing the latter a scholarship grant until he finishes college.
Benjie Oliva, who is the president-elect of the Rotary Club of Pasay Cyber City, has been doing charity work all over Bohol with his wife, Atty Joan Oliva who is the immediate past president of the said organization.
