Wednesday, December 28, 2022

The love affair of Rommel and Gladys is a beautiful story that started with a promise to love each other – a promise done right in front of the image of the “Birhen sa Simala” in the province of Cebu.

Rommel and Gladys first met in 2012 at the beginning of their studies in college when they were both students in Occupational Therapy at the Cebu Doctor’s University. Starting as classmates, then as good friends, they finally ended up as husband and wife.

The couple got married during civil rites on June 29, 2022 in Minglanilla, Cebu. The church wedding ceremony took place starting at 3:00 in the afternoon of December 28, 2022 and was held at the St. Joseph’s Cathedral. The mass was officiated by Most. Rev. Alberto S. Uy, D.D. as the main celebrant, with Rev. Fr. Adonis B. Hubac and Rev. Fr. Martin C. Lupiba as concelebrants.

The bride, Gladys Marie Bulang is an occupational therapist and she is from Tagbilaran City, Bohol. She is the elder sister of two (2) siblings and both are the children of Gloria Bulang.

Her groom, John Rommel Alvez is from Talisay City, Cebu. He is the second of the five children of Dr. Alan Magno and Ann Luela Magno.

After the church rites, the wedding banquet followed and it was held at the Doljo Ballroom of Modala Resort, Panglao, Bohol with family members, friends and associates in attendance.
