Chatto moves to new office upon Aris’ order

For the information of people from the first district who want to visit the office of Cong. Edgar Chatto, they need to walk a little farther from the original location of his office because the location of the office of Cong. Chatto has changed.

Chatto and his staff moved to a new office upon the orders of Gov. Erico Aumentado. The solon’s office is now relocated in an area near the back portion of the Capitol’s ground floor.

It would be best for visitors to ask the security guard for directions leading to Chatto’s new office location at the Capitol.

The previous location of Chatto’s office was nearer to the main entrance of the capitol but this time, from the capitol’s main entrance, the first congressional office you will see is that Congresswoman Vanvan Aumentado of the 2nd district of Bohol.

This is being followed by the location of the office of Congresswoman Alexie Tutor from the 3rd district of Bohol.

If you proceed farther, you will see the office of Cong. Edgar Chatto from the first district of Bohol.

Therefore, please be guided as from the main entrance of the capitol, the arrangement of congressional offices is:

This prompted some observers to ask about the timing and the real reason behind the transfer to a new office.

There are also some others who are asking about the accessibility of the new location of the Chatto office to senior citizens and persons with disability.

Nonetheless, Cong. Chatto, he said that the location, size, distance, etc. of an office don’t matter.

What really matters is the quality of service being rendered to the constituents, including the heart that listens to the people.

Like a good soldier, Chatto has followed the order of the governor and has vacated his old office location. He is now ready to receive his constituents/guests at his new location at the back potion of the Capitol’s ground floor.

Chatto was informed about the change in office assignments through a letter from Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado dated Jan. 19, 2023. (See copy of the letter on page 16B).

Chatto was informed that his new office awaits him as renovation of Capitol offices exclusive for lawmakers has been completed.

The new Chatto’s office is located in between the office of third district Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor and the Provincial Accountant’s Office (PAccO), according to the letter sent by Aumentado.

All of the solons from Bohol will now hold office at the ground floor of the Capitol.

The Bohol Tribune was informed that the office of Second District Rep. Maria Vanessa Aumentado is located just right after the entrance to the Capitol and Tutor’s office comes next.

In a text message, Chatto’s chief of staff Abeleon Damalerio said that the new office is near the records room of the PAccO.

“Magtupad ang 3 [ka solons’] offices sa congressman/woman. From the main entrance sa Capitol mauna ang office ni Cong. Vanvan [Aumentado], then kang Cong. Tutor and then amoa,” Damalerio said in a text message.

When asked to comment about the new office, Damalerio wrote in a text message:”Ok ra man ang new office; mas dako gamay kaysa sa previous office. Ang importante nga ang office and our staff can serve our constituents.”

He added that Chatro’s staff started to occupy the new office on Jan. 24, 2023.

Chatto has been known to be humble. He himself practices humility as a way to counter negative emotions. This is the reason he soldiers on easily because he remains humble despite his stature. (WALA KO KASABOT ANI)

Chatto has been known as a humble person. His humility lets him accept realities with open arms and thwart negative emotions. He can follow orders with ease because he remains humble.

A source told The Bohol Tribune that Tutor’s staff members, as of press time, have yet to transfer to the new office. There are still some adjustments waiting to be completed in the new office, according to the source.

Tutor is moving from the 2nd floor of the Capitol building to the ground floor of the same edifice.

Meanwhile, Rep. Aumentado, who is already here from her trip abroad, announced on Jan. 20, 2023 that she has already completed the transfer to her new Capitol office and has begun receiving visitors. Aumentado used to hold office at the old Capitol building located in downtown Tagbilaran City.

To recall, the new Capitol building was inaugurated in February 2019 during the incumbency of Chatto as governor of Bohol.

Chatto pushed hard for the completion of the present Capitol building located along Lino Chatto Drive, barangay Cogon. The new Capitol was built and finished within Chatto ‘s term as governor as the old Capitol was damaged following the 2013 earthquake.
