<strong>Police, PDEA seize P8.5 M worth of materials alleged to be shabu</strong>

Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel seized P8.5 million worth of materials believed to be illegal shabu in a buy bust operation in Dauis town on Jan. 25, 2023.

The subject of the buy bust who is also believed to be the suspect was identified as a certain John Albert Iter, 27, of Purok 4, barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.

The suspect was arrested following a drug buy bust operation at the Circumferential Road in barangay Poblacion, Dauis.

Dauis police chief Lt. Thomas Cheung said that the suspect allegedly was arrested after the latter sold materials believed to be shabu worth P50,000 to an undercover agent.

The estimated weight of the material suspected to be illegal drugs was about 1.2 kilos .

Gov. Erico Aumentado and Dauis mayor Roman Bullen together with Provincial Director Col. Lorenzo Batuan were on the scene of the operation. The governor and the mayor congratulated the police authorities for the arrest.

Moreover, Cheung said there would be follow-up operations to track down the drug suppliers in the province.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, authorities arrested Felcris Vaño, 26, who was caught with materials believed to be shabu worth P1.7 million.
