The City Government of Tagbilaran in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) successfully conducted the mobile passporting service at the City Hall Atrium on Jan. 25 and 26, 2023.

The DFA team served the pre-registered Tagbilaranons in the processing of their respective passports.

The team from the DFA was assisted by personnel from the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) led by Marck Borja.

It is known that the City Government of Tagbilaran has always endeavored for continuous streamlining and improvement of the frontline services delivery,

City Mayor Jane Yap personally thanked the DFA for bringing the ease and convenience of the mobile passport service to Tagbilaranons.

“Our constituents have saved money for travel, transportation and meals. Second, this service has provided convenience for those families who are applying. And third, this is also beneficial for our OFWs [overseas Filipino workers] who are renewing their passports or those who are applying for jobs abroad and for professionals who do not have the time to go to Cebu or Manila. In other words, we have brought quality service with greater ease and convenience to our people.

Mayor Yap looks forward for more mobile passport services in the future.

The DFA brought 21 personnel to conduct the entire passporting process, with the PESO employees acting as the logistics team.
