Buenavista mayor Dave Duallo released information about the activities for the celebration of the town’s 63rd year foundation anniversary slated on Feb. 11, 2023.
The town starts its celebration on Jan. 31, 2023 with the interbarangay basketall and volleyball games.
On the 1st of February 2023, there will be a parade to mark the opening of the celebration. There will also be an opening program followed by a zumba session. The interbarangay basketball and volleyball games WILL continue as another basketall game feafuring varsity players from Buenavista Community College will be held at 6 in the evening. The day will be capped with the opening of the Food Park and the performance of a live band at 8 pm.
On Feb 2, 2023, the interbarangay ball games will continue as the Food Park will remain open to serve delicious dishes.
On Feb 3, 2023, a disco will be the highlight of the day as part of the celebrations for the foundation day.
On Feb. 4, 2023, an intertown basketball game will be staged at the Buenavista Cultural Center. The intertown games will be also played the following day and on Feb. 6, 2023 and all games will be held at the Buenavista Cultural Center.
On Feb. 7, 2023 the evening will capped by a program from the Department of Education as the interbarangayball games will continue to be staged.
The government workers night will be on Feb. 8, 2023 where there will be a showcase of talents from the employees coming from the public sector of the town.
The Alturas Group of Companies, on Feb. 9, 2023, will be sponsoring a variety show at the venue where the Food Park is located. The people of the town will be treated to a night of fabulous entertainment.
There will be a parade of beautiful ladies as the Miss Katahum coronation night will be done on Feb. 10, 2023 at the Buenavista Cultural Center.
The town is going to celebrate its foundation day on Feb. 11, 2023 with a State of the Municipality Address to be delivered by Mayor Dave Duallo. On this day the championship games of the interbarangay basketball games will be held.
Moreover, the town government will sponsor a reggae band to perform at 7 pm. This is also the final day of the Food Park.
