Choy Blanco – The “local technologist” and genius in our midst

His name is already a byword when it comes to electro-mechanical technology. He combines electronics, electrical, and mechanical parts altogether making a fully automated functional machine.
He obtained his engineering degree from the University of Bohol. Constant research and practice made him a sought-after technical person that he is now. He has done and continues to do several projects, not only in Bohol, but nationwide.

His name is CHOY BLANCO!
How did Choy get a knack for machines?

Choy is a product of two people who are highly skilled in their respective fields. His father-mentor, Jeremias Blanco (now retired) was an automotive technology instructor of the then Bohol School of Arts and Trades (now BISU). He was also a known technical guy during his peak. It’s no wonder where Choy got his technical skills and abilities from. Choy’s mother, Lurline Valles Blanco, was an educator who eventually became a Schools Division Superintendent until her retirement. It is quite rare to have someone like Choy who can effectively communicate highly technical machinerelated ideas to people who don’t have much technical knowledge but need machines to make their daily tasks easier.
Choy, whose real name is Jerry Augustus, is the youngest among four siblings. A fun fact about them is that they were all named after the month they were born in. The eldest is June Socorro, followed by Julius Michael, then May Amparo.
Choy is married to his life and business partner, Venus Omandam Palma Blanco, an accountancy graduate from Misamis Occidental. The couple is blessed with two children, namely, Dr_ Pamela Elouise and Chris Jerry, a Council Scout Representative of Bohol and currently a student at the Tagbilaran City Science High School.

What is Choy up to at the moment?
A remote controlled gate is one of his in demand projects. He makes his own designs, fabricates parts and assembles them as desired by his clients. The finished product is designed to operate for a long time. All parts can be repaired or replaced making it cheaper in the long run, unlike the ones sold in the market.
Circuit breaker panels can be customized according to one’s needs. He can assemble small residential panel boards to large scale commercial and industrial panels. All built with his skillful hands and assisted by his equally talented assistants .
Choy has a wide array of suppliers for generators and/or industrial equipment. Come and see him if you’re looking for one! He can give you technical and aftermarket support since

operations, maintenance, and repair belong to his expertise.
If you ever need Switchgears, Automatic Transfer Switch or Manual Transfer Switch, give him a call or a visit and tell him your requirements! Or maybe you need a lifter, freight elevator or dumb waiter? Choy can make all these automated so that work will become easier for you.

Choy has got more to offer!

Low water pressure is a common problem for commercial and residential buildings. Choy simplifies things and makes water pumps that are fully automated for your convenience.
He can also assemble electric motor controls, Wye-Delta starters and Variable Frequency Drive control panels, whichever suits your industrial requirements.
Moreover, wastewater treatment plants are controlled by a combination of electrical components, timers and limit switches. Choy can make one for you if you ever need one. He has gone to as far as Tuguegarao, lsabela, and Kalinga installing and commissioning wastewater treatment plants.
Furthermore, building wiring for commercial, industrial and residential use are some regular projects his team has done. Since Choy is hands-on in all his projects, he is in constant communication with his colleagues and everyone in his team to ensure that a project is done thoroughly. He even goes as far as showing how things should be done just to set a solid example of the quality of work he is expecting from the whole team.
Technical jobs are never easy tasks but Choy and his team are willing to work behind the scenes to satisfy the actors on stage and make the whole project successful.
