The Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB)-Bohol chapter will be having its annual Barangay Congress and it starts on Feb. 9, 2023 and ends on Feb. 11, 2023, according to Board Member Romulo Cepedoza.
Cepedoza added that the venue of the congress will be at Bohol Tropics Resort in barangay Cogon.
It is expected that the top leaders of the province including the three Bohol congressional representatives are expected to attend the said congress.
It is also expected that Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) provincial director Jerome Gonzales is expected to join the activity which gathers the leaders from 1,109 barangays of Bohol.
Other government officials expected to attend the congress are Commission on Elections provincial supervisor Eliseo Labaria and Provincial Planning and Development Officer John Titus Vistal.
The congress will provide information about the programs of the provincial government for the various barangays as well as the plans of the three congressional representatives. The representatives are Cong. Edgar Chatto (1st district), Cong. Maria Vanessa Aumentado (2nd district), and Cong. Kristine Alexie Tutor (3rd district).
Moreover, the barangay officials, during the congress, will be given pointers on how to craft proposals for projects so these can be funded by the national government, reports say.
