Observer reports crack in Loay’s Clarin Bridge

An observer reported that a crack appeared at Loay’s Clarin Bridge and posted photos of the crack on social media.

The current Clarin bridge is a replacement bridge to the old one. The old bridge collapsed due to overloading on April 2022 killing at least 4 people including a foreigner who was in Bohol for his honeymoon.

The current bridge was inaugurated in June 2022 and touted to be a modern infrastructure and built with the help of an Indonesian firm.

The crack was seen in a photo traversing across the road on the approach to the bridge.

A certain Bhert Gulayao posted on Feb. 18, 2023, a photo of the crack on the road towards the approach of Clarin Bridge in Loay town.

“Sa molabay aning Loay bridge, slow down mo dering dapita kay medyo dele lebel ang Semento,” Gulayao said in his post.

This is a developing story and more details will follow soon.
