<strong>Four Bohol towns receive new firetrucks from BFP national</strong>

The towns of Balilihan, Candijay, Mabini and Baclayon are among the Bohol recipients of new firetrucks from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), national office.

A ceremonial turnover of the new firetrucks was done on Feb. 20, 2023 at the BFP Headquarters in Manila, according to reports reaching The Bohol Tribune.

The said towns from Bohol received a new fire truck each with a capacity of 1, 000 gallons and said vehicles will be placed in the respective town fire station.

In the said ceremony, about 74 fire trucks were distributed to various local government units in the country, reports add.

The guests of honor in the said event included Department of the Interior and Local Government Sec. Benhur Abalos, Sen. Sonny Angara and BFP director Louie Puracan, the reports mention.

Balilhan mayor Pureza Chatto and Vice Mayor Trisha Chatto attended the said event together with Balilihan BFP chief Senior Fire Officer 3 Manuel Babera and Baclayon mayor Alvin Uy. Mayor Uy was in the event as his town is one of the recipients of the new firetruck.

Uy in a post on Facebook, announced the good news on social media about his town getting a new fire truck. Uy thanked Vice Mayor Romy Balangkig and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Baclayon for their support leading to the donation of the new firetruck to the said town. Uy also thanked the DILG, BFP and the staff of Sen. Ronald de la Rosa for facilitating Baclayon’s request for a new fire truck.

ln a Facebook post, Vice Mayor Trisha Chatto showed her appreciation and said: “Daghang salamat, Sen. Sonny Angara, DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos ug BFP Director Louie Puracan [for the new firetruck].” Moreover, the vice mayor posted a photo of her posing beside a new red firetruck.

For her part Mayor Pureza Chatto showed her appreciation to the help of Sen. Angara, the BFP and the DILG for providing a fire truck to Balilihan town.
