“Creed 3” at Screenville Cinemas

The ninth installment in the “Rocky” film series and a sequel to “Creed II” about two boxing friends turned enemies, “Creed III” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.    

After the events of “Creed II” in 2018, Adonis “Donnie” Creed (Michael B. Jordan-“Black Panther”) is thriving in both his boxing career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian “Dame” Anderson (Jonathan Majors-“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring.  The two quickly develop a bitter and intense rivalry, one that forces Adonis to face his past mistakes. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Donnie must put his future on the line to battle Dame – a fighter who has nothing to lose.

“CREED III” will premiere on Wednesday, March 1, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

“Scream 6” at Screenville Cinemas

The sixth installment in the “Scream” film series which serves as a direct sequel to “Scream” in 2022 where a new Ghostface killer wreaks havoc in New York City, “Scream 6” will premiere on Wednesday, March 8, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.    

Following the events of last year’s “Scream,” sisters Samantha (Melissa Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks (Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown), leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a fresh chapter of their lives in New York City, only again to be plagued by a streak of murders by a new Ghostface killer. In 1996, moviegoers were introduced to one of the most memorable movie villains of all time — Ghostface. With a reception that rivaled Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th (1980), and Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), “Scream” quickly became a cultural phenomenon which spawned a number of sequels. In 2022, the franchise was revitalized with Scream, a sequel given the same name as the original.

“SCREAM 6” will premiere on Wednesday, March 8, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
