<strong>Tubigon celebrates 11th Arts Festival with various talents</strong>

The Local Government Unit of Tubigon, through its Tourism, Culture and Heritage Office, successfully conducted the 11th Tubigon Arts Festival on February 28, 2023. The festival showcased the talents of students and individuals from different schools and sectors in various categories such as vocal solo and duet, photography, balak (poetry), pastel drawing, acrylic painting and contemporary dance.

The festival was part of the Philippine International Arts Festival (PIAF), a nationwide celebration of arts and culture that aims to promote Filipino creativity and identity. The theme for this year’s PIAF was “Abante Kultura” or “Arts for Development”.

The winners of the 11th Tubigon Arts Festival were awarded with cash prizes and certificates of recognition. The winners were as follows:

Vocal Solo

1st : Erich Chanele Rubin – Tinangnan Elementary School

2nd : Ana Marie Capablanca – Guiwanon Elementary School

3rd : April Pador – Bunacan Elementary School

Vocal Duet

1st : Khysia Razon & Keziah Ruleda – Mater Dei College High School

The festival also featured a visual arts exhibit and workshop initiated by the LGU-Tubigon in cooperation with BAZAK FoodPark & Piskay Art Group. The workshop was held on February 25, 2023 at Bazak Food Park, Paseo Anacleta, Tinangnan, Tubigon, Bohol.

The Tubigon Arts Festival is an annual event that started in 2012 as part of the town’s Tanda Festival, a unique local name which means “short visit”. The Tanda Festival is held every May in honor of its patron saint, Sr. San Isidro Labrador.
