The Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) held an awarding ceremony on March 6 to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of its women personnel and civilian partners in line with the celebration of Women’s Month 2023.

The ceremony, which coincided with the kick-off of Women’s Month with the theme “We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”, was graced by Jane Yap, Mayor of Tagbilaran City.

The activity was highlighted by the awarding of plaques and certificates to six women police officers, one non-uniformed personnel, and six stakeholders for their significant accomplishment and exemplary performance in their duty and longstanding partnership with TCPS.

Mayor Yap, who was also the guest speaker and honoree of the event, spoke words of encouragement and inspiration to all personnel, particularly the policewomen of TCPS.

She commended them for their courage, dedication, and professionalism in serving the city amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also urged them to continue to uphold their rights and dignity as women and as public servants who play a vital role in maintaining peace and order in Tagbilaran City.

The awarding ceremony was part of the series of activities lined up by TCPS for Women’s Month 2023 to promote gender equality and empowerment among its ranks.
