“Scream 6” at Screenville Cinemas
The sixth installment in the “Scream” film series which serves as a direct sequel to “Scream” in 2022 where a new Ghostface killer wreaks havoc in New York City, “Scream 6” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Following the events of last year’s “Scream,” sisters Samantha (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega) and twins Chad and Mindy (Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown), are leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a fresh chapter of their lives in New York City, only again to be plagued by a streak of murders by a new Ghostface killer. In 1996, moviegoers were introduced to one of the most memorable movie villains of all time — Ghostface. With a reception that rivaled Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th (1980), and Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), “Scream” quickly became a cultural phenomenon which spawned a number of sequels. In 2022, the franchise was revitalized with Scream, a sequel given the same name as the original.

“Shazam: Fury of the Gods” at Screenville Cinemas
The highly-anticipated follow-up film to 2019’s blockbuster hit “Shazam!” where the DC Comics superhero fights the daughters of Atlas, “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” will premiere on Wednesday, March 15, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
The sequel continues the story of teenage Billy Batson (Asher Angel-“Jolene“) who upon reciting the magic word “Shazam” is struck by the Living Lightning of the gods and transformed into his adult superhero alter ego, Shazam (Zachary Levi-“Thor” films), who is bestowed with the powers of six gods — the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury.Together with his foster siblings, they are forced to get back into action and must stop the Atlas’ daughters from using a weapon that could destroy the world. One of the daughters, Hespera (Oscar winner Helen Mirren-“The Queen”), and her demigod sisters stole their powers from their father.
“SHAZAM: FURY OF THE GODS” will premiere on Wednesday, March 15, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
