<strong>New commander for Bohol Ready Reserve Battalion installed</strong><strong></strong>

The Bohol Ready Reserve Battalion (BRRB), one of the battalions of the Philippine Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) under the 1902nd Infantry Brigade of the 19th Infantry Division (Ready Reserve), has a new commanding officer.

LTCol. Liza Migriño Quirog, (MNSA) GSC PA Reserved, assumed command of the BRRB on March 13, 2023, replacing LTC Lino N. Garsuta, GSC PA, who served as the battalion commander since June 2020.

The installation and turnover ceremony was held at the 702nd Bohol Community Defense Center, 7th Regional Community Defense Group, ARESCOM, Camp Esteban Bernido, Philippine Army. It was presided by Troop Commander COL. Edgar Mangabay, GSC Infantry, Philippine Army.

The ceremony was also attended by BGen. Joseph Sevilla, RET PA; enlisted officers of AFP; and other Bohol officials.

The BRRB is an infantry unit that specializes in urban operations, disaster relief and civil military operations. It is composed of volunteer reservists from various sectors of Bohol province.

LTCol Quirog expressed her gratitude for the trust and confidence given to her by the ARESCOM leadership and vowed to continue the legacy of excellence and service of her predecessor.

She also called on her fellow reservists to uphold their oath and commitment to defend the country and serve the people.

“I am honored and humbled to lead this battalion of dedicated and patriotic reservists. I ask for your support and cooperation as we work together to fulfill our mandate and mission. Let us always remember our motto: ‘Ready To Serve!'”, she said.

Loon Municipal Police Station will continue to intensify the campaign against any forms of illegal gambling activities along with the aim to attain and maintain a safe, peaceful and progressive Loon which is also in line with M+K+K=K Peace and Security Framework of the Chief PNP.

“Ug sa kanunay nga pagpahimangno, hunonga na ang mga ilegal na aktibidad kay wala kini lugar sa atong pinangga nga Lungsod nga Loon nga malinawon ug madanihon!!! Magtinabangay tang tanan…,” Capt. Melloria said.
