A fighting cock handler was arrested in a drug sting operation in Sagbayan town in Bohol province on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Police identified him as Juewan Dela Torre, 21 years old and a resident of Canmaya Diot village.
According to PCapt. Eric Binangbang, chief of Sagbayan Municipal Police Station (MPS), they conducted a buy bust operation against Dela Torre after receiving information that he was involved in illegal drug activities.
Binangbang said they recovered six sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P1,224 from Dela Torre’s possession. They also confiscated P500 marked money used in the transaction.
Dela Torre is now facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
