Mabini Emergency Rescue Unit (MaERU) concluded its 2-day Basic Life Support Training and 3-day Standard First Aid Training recently. 

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office- Operations and Warning Division through the TaRSIER117 facilitated the training. 

The training was attended by some 30 trainees coming from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office (MDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Rural Health Unit (RHU), and representatives from Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM). 

The objectives of the 5-day training were to learn the basic life support skills and first-aid techniques, to learn and perform the practical and immediate and necessary approach in an actual situation of incident, and to promote coordination within the Mabini Emergency Rescue Unit (MaERU) and other stakeholders in the municipality. 

As a closing activity, a simulation exercise was done to validate and improve preparedness and response plans, processes, and systems for all dangers and capabilities.
