The thunderous, screeching noise at daybreak
At 77, my waking time has become variable except on Sundays when I have to be precise for my morning schedule in order to attend the
ABS-CBN healing mass, a habit since way way back. Now, I go to bed at 11:00 p.m. for I have to watch “Dirty Linen”. When “Noli Me Tangere” concluded its episodes at GMA, I switched back to ABS-CBN for “Batang Quiapo” and “Dirty Linen”. The time slot in between “Batang Quiapo” and “Dirty Linen” brings me to the chiefs at channel 8 to listen to current issues.
But one morning, last week, I was roughly awakened from my deep slumber due to the thunderous and screeching sounds of motor bikes. For an arrhythmic like me ga gubo gubo gyud ug maayo akong dughan pagkadungog naho sa mga naglagubo nga tingog sa mga motorsiklo nga milabay sa among nataran. It seemed like the second coming was happening. And then I remember, that in the name of tourism, a group of motor riders called the loopers, was coming to Bohol.
Wa moduyog akong mga iro sa mga gahub sa karsada. Mohubong man gyud ning mga iro namo kung dunay dogdog ug kilat. Kadto pa ba kahang murag libo ka libong dugdog ug kilat ang miabot.
My dogs used to sleep with me in my room and sometime on my bed. But I discovered that my coughing was an allergy caused by the dog’s fur. Maoy hinungdan nga mura ko ug gitangkal sa akong kuarto aron dili sila mosaka sa akong katre.
When I listened to the dyTR radio, the Monday morning after the Bohol Loop event, I noticed that people were still celebrating the the loop euphoria. They said that town residents lined up the streets to greet the riders and the riders’ fans said they had a great time that Saturday morning.
But I did not want to be miserable during the loop. I directed my energy to the two mice eating my toilet soap. And they used to do this every night. Wala ko mag parayaw ha! When I was young, I used dove and DIAL soap. I had supply of the brand since from time to time, then, we received package from the states that included Dove and Dial bars of soap. Besides, it was not luxury for me to use Dove since I found it money saving as it could double as a body soap and as hair shampoo giving that shiny and soft hair. Now, I do not see any supply of DIAL soap. Instead, I have this CLASSIQUE HYGIENE soap. This is not cheap, though, but it’s worth it.
Every day, I find my soap chopped by the inday inday. I want to buy something to stop the inday inday but I have my reservations. My dogs and my cats might eat the bait. My recourse was to cover them with kalabo. My recourse is very effective. It is really effective. I have kalabo in my garden just like the sabila and ganda. Sa panahon nga tugnaw gyud kaayo, ug kanunay magsakit akong dunggan labi na kung gabii, gisuwayan naho ug suksok ug ganda. Nawala gyud. Mao kadto nga sa paglabay sa daghang “dugdog ug dilat” adtong sayo sa kaadlawon, ang ganda ra gayod ang katapat. Ug nawala gyud akong kapungot sa gahub.
Should you need these herbs, you are most welcome to come over and they are there for the picking. They will fight any form of noise that will try to threaten your deep sleep.
