IBP-BOHOL CHAPTER HOLDS OATH-TAKING AND TURNOVER CEREMONIES

After electing a new set of officers for the 26th Board of Officers and Directors, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Bohol Chapter hosted its Oath-Taking and Turnover Ceremonies at the Metro Centre Hotel in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Presided by Hon. Pamela Ann Abella Maxino, the following were sworn into their respective positions: Atty. Julius Gregory B. Delgado (President); Atty. John Jeric S. Lim (Vice President); Atty. Lady Victoria M. Dejaňo (Secretary); Atty. Deneb S. Doydora (Treasurer); Atty. Neil Eric E. Ochoco (Auditor); Atty. David S. Maulas (Press Relations Officer); Atty. Harold T. Bayarcal (Director); Atty. Thea Ivory B. Parras (Director); Atty. Jervis Clifford C. Vertulfo (Director); Atty. Ruby Rose R. Maligmat (Director); and Atty. Zeah O. Zamora (Director).

Serving as witnesses as the new officers took their sacred Oath of Office, the Regional Trial Court Judges and Past Presidents of IBP-Bohol Chapter graced the occasion. The Invocation was led by outgoing Press Relations Officer, Atty. Cheryl Ann S. Villares. After the National Anthem and Awit sa Bohol and the IBP Hymn, outgoing President Licelle D. Zamora delivered her welcoming message.

After the swearing-in of the new officers, Atty. Zamora turnover the IBP Flag to the new IBP-Bohol President, Atty. Julius Gregory B. Delgado, as a symbol of change of leadership and passing of the heavy duties and responsibilities at the helm of the almost 500-strong lawyers of the Chapter. Atty. Delgado delivered his Acceptance Speech emphasizing on plucking up one’s courage not to shirk from opportunity to lead and serve. The new Secretary, Atty. Dejaňo, rendered an intermission number followed by the very meaningful and inspiring Keynote Address by Hon. Pamela Ann Abella Maxino, the Executive Justice of the Court of Appeals-Visayas Station. Justice Maxino was introduced by Regional Trial Court Judge Marivic T. Daray.

Plaques of Appreciation were then given to Justice Maxino as Inducting Officer and Keynote Speaker during the Oath-Taking and Turnover Ceremonies and for Judge Daray as Facilitator and Resource Person during the Team Building/Planning Session of the new officers. The new Vice President, Atty. John Jeric S. Lim, delivered the closing remarks. The program was hosted by outgoing Secretary, Atty. Adeline L. Glovasa. The new set of officers will serve a term of two (2) years until March 31, 2025.
