Drunk man arrested for carrying unlicensed firearm in Getafe

A man was arrested for violation of R.A 10591 in Purok 7 Sitio Malingin Brgy. C.P.G., Getafe, Bohol at about 6:10 PM on April 01.

Police received a phone call from a concerned citizen informing them about a man walking along the brgy. road of Sitio Lomboy Salog, Getafe, Bohol going to Sitio Malingin Brgy. C.P.G., Getafe and allegedly carrying an unknown caliber of firearm and believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Upon arrival at the scene, PNP personnel led by PLT CARLJOBEL P LOFRANCO, OIC saw the suspect carrying a firearm described as Cal.38 revolver.

The police held the suspect and asked for documents with regard to said firearm but suspect failed to present any documents that resulted in his arrest.

The following items were confiscated from his possession and control; One (1) unit Caliber .38 revolver no markings and no serial numbers loaded with five (5) cal. 38 live ammunitions and three (3) pieces of cal.38 live ammunitions in his pocket.

The arrested suspect was brought to Getafe-MHO for medical check-up and later brought to this station together with the confiscated evidences for recording and proper disposition.

The above-described firearm will be submitted to Bohol Forensic Unit, Camp Francisco Dagohoy, Tagbilaran City for ballistic examination and for final custody.
