A buy-bust operation was conducted by the Dauis Municipal Drugs Enforcement Team led by PLT. Thomas Zen Cheung in Purok 6, Barangay Tabalong at 9:15 pm on Saturday.
The operation resulted in the arrest of John Steven Aliviado y’ Sanchez, alias Ginamos, a 25-year-old resident of Barangay Bingag.
Sanchez was caught with a sachet containing shabu that weighed around 27 grams and had a standard drug price of P183,000.
According to PLT. Cheung, Sanchez admitted to bribing people involved in his illegal activities. The people named by Sanchez will be investigated.
The operation was witnessed by media and Barangay officials such as Tabalong Kag. Fely Opeña and Kag. Antonio Tubayan whose operatives used an Improvised Recording Device or Cellphone Video to document the buybust.
Sanchez is currently detained at the Dauis PNP cell and is being prepared for a case to be filed against him for violating Sec. 5 and Sec.11 Art 2 of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
