Daisy Galinato went to Channel a2z, early this year, to accompany a friend who wanted to audition for daily show dubbed TROPANG LOL under the LOLAs de MAYO segment/competition. Her friend wanted to win the weekly slot to qualify for the monthly tilt. Her friend had a dream to be the national champion this coming May 2023 grand finals to win a very handsome cash prize, plus all other mini prizes including the wide publicity and tv exposure, show contracts to be signed and the opportunity of becoming a STAR among the LOLAs de Mayo, after getting the crown.
During the audition, Daisy didn’t even bother to crane her neck to see what was going on upstage. She simply sat on an extra chair, to the left of the apron of the stage and waited for her friend to finish the activity.
And her friend did not make it! And her friend couldn’t accept it! And Daisy didn’t like it – that they would go home empty, distraught and broken. So, standing up with the determination of a Boholana, Daisy got a number for the next scheduled audition.
She had the pre-trial. Did she make it? She simply shrugged her shoulders and said: SANA-OL. Few days after, she got a call from the tv network instructing her to report immediately to the program venue in casual wear. No ifs and no buts. On she went.
It was almost show time. She became excited and nervous. Gikujawan ug gikabuhi. Somebody did her makeover. Another gave her a gown for part 3 and the last lady told her to choose from a list of 3 songs.
And she made it! She was chosen the winner among the different weekly finalists for the month on March 17, 2023. And she will vie for the national competition in the month of May 2023.
Daisy Galinato is a Tagbilaranon whose residence is at Phase 1, Lot 4, Connecticut St., Lindaville Subdivision. Dao District, this city. She has 3 children who, together with her and her husband, now reside at Bagong Silang, Sucat Muntinglupa City . She is a grandmother who enjoys her role as a housewife, tutor, singer, coach, religious preacher, educator and most of all, entertainer to every member of the family.
