Talibon PNP Intensifies Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign

Talibon, Bohol – The Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU) of Talibon Municipal Police Station scored another accomplishment in their campaign against illegal drugs.

The latest operation over the weekend was conducted at Brgy. San Jose, Talibon, Bohol against Albert Bernardo alias “Avet”, a 35-year-old male chain saw operator and resident of Brgy. San Jose.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; P500 as buy-bust marked money; six small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu; one small circular plastic container served as drug container; one motorcycle key with key holder and one unit Honda XRM without plate number.

“An estimated weight of 3.0 grams with a Standard Drug Price of P20,400, and the buy-bust money were confiscated during the said operation,” said Police Captain Melloria, Chief of Police.

The suspect is now temporarily detained at Talibon Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility while preparing charges for Violation of Section 5 & 11 of Art. Il of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCPT Melloria expressed his appreciation to the community for supporting the Talibon PNP through their timely report of any illegal activities in the community. 

“We will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drugs. We will not stop until the last drug dealer is put behind bars,” PCPT Melloria said.
