Talibon Police Intensify Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign

Talibon, Bohol – The Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU) of Talibon Municipal Police Station scored another accomplishment in their campaign against illegal drugs. The operation was led by PCPT Amelito M Melloria, Chief of Police (OIC).

The operation was conducted at Brgy. Bagacay, Talibon, Bohol at about 4:10 PM on May 8th against an alias “Tirso”, a 41-year-old male who is married and jobless.

Recovered from the subject’s possession were one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; Five Hundred Peso Bill (Php500.00) as buy-bust marked money; Nine small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu; One piece of plastic Purtier Placenta case color white served as drug container.

“An estimated weight of 3.50 grams more or less with a Standard Drug Price of P23,800.00, and the buy-bust money were confiscated during the said operation,” said PCPT Melloria.

The suspect is now temporarily detained at Talibon Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility while preparing charges for Violation of Section 5 & 11 of Art. Il of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCPT Melloria expressed his appreciation to the community for supporting the Talibon PNP through their timely report of any illegal activities in the community.

“Alang sa kalinaw sa ato’ng pinalangga nga lungsod, padayon nato’ng gipahingosgan ang atong kampanya batok sa ilegal nga drogas ug dili kami mohunong hangtod nga ang kataposang tigpahuyot sa gidili nga drogas mabalhog sulod sa prisohan,” PCPT Melloria added.
