Wanted Man Arrested for Illegal Cockfighting in Talibon, Bohol

Talibon, Bohol – A man wanted for illegal cockfighting was arrested earlier this morning in Barangay Bagacay, Talibon, Bohol. The arrest was made by the operating unit of Talibon Municipal Police Station led by PCPT Amelito Melendres Melloria, Chief of Police (OIC), as part of their ongoing campaign against wanted persons.

The man, known only as “Jun,” is a 38-year-old construction worker and resident of Barangay Bagacay. He was arrested on a warrant issued by Hon. Marie A Peque-Menchavez, presiding judge of 4th MCTC Talibon, Bohol for engaging in an illegal cockfight with Criminal Case No. 1167. Bail has been recommended at Php 30,000.

Police Captain Melloria praised his operatives for their efforts in capturing criminals and keeping the community safe.

“This is our second arrest since yesterday as our operatives continue their campaign against wanted persons for the peace and order of our beloved Talibon,” he said.

The arrest is part of an ongoing effort by the Talibon Municipal Police Station to crack down on illegal activities and maintain safety in the community.
