Catigbian Mayor Addresses Water Interruption Issues

Catigbian Mayor Elizabeth “Abeth” Mandin has issued an advisory to consumers experiencing water problems in the town.

The mayor has asked for understanding as water pipes passing through the streets of Poblacion and Poblacion Weste have been damaged by equipment used in a large DPWH 1 project aimed at addressing flooding in the area.

The town has been facing issues with its drainage system, lacking straight and deep canals that can effectively prevent flooding during heavy rains.

The mayor has stated that water interruption was not an issue before the project began.

Mayor Mandin has also called on the contractor of the project to assist the LGU in speeding up repairs of any damaged pipes. The matter will be forwarded to DPWH-District 1 and District Engr. Gascon.

The mayor has thanked residents for their understanding and asked for their continued patience as the town works to address these issues.
