PRO7 Headquarters Personnel Join Street Patrols to Reduce Crime

Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) has recorded a significant reduction in crime for the first quarter of this year.

In an effort to further reduce crime, additional uniformed personnel from the regional headquarters have been sent to patrol the streets.

The Point to Point (P2P) Patrolling campaign, with the tagline “Pulis nga Abtik, Imong Amigo ug Alyado,” aims to intensify the campaign against criminality.

PBGEN Anthony Abellada Aberin, PRO7 Regional Director, spearheaded yesterday the send-off ceremony for PRO7 personnel who will be deployed in strategic locations based on the weekly patrol plan of police stations.

A total of 188 uniformed personnel from the Regional Headquarters will flood the streets to increase police visibility and presence. This is aligned with the 5-Focused Agenda of PNP Chief PGEN Benjamin Acorda Jr. and PRO7’s AAA P2P Patrolling in Central Visayas.

“We are sending more Bisdak Cops who are Able, Active and Allied to flood our streets and alleys to ensure that Central Visayas will remain safe and secured to live, enjoy and do business,” Aberin said.

The P2P Patrolling will help materialize the mandate of PRO7 leadership to go back to basics of proactive and consistent police work – patrolling the streets and reestablishing presence in the community.

Aberin further explained that the AAA P2P patrolling follows a 3As approach – Able, Active, and Allied police officers that can be seen and felt by the public, servicing them with smiles on their faces.
