Dauis PNP honored at Provincial Peace and Order Council Meeting

Plt. Thomas Zen Cheung, Chief of Police of the Dauis Municipal Police Station, and the Dauis Municipal Police Station (MPS) were awarded a commendation by the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) for their success in a P8.5 million drug bust.

The commendation was presented by Governor Aris Aumentado, chairman of the PPOC, during a full council meeting at the New Capitol in Tagbilaran City recently. The meeting was attended by Bohol PPO Provincial Director PCol. Lorenzo Batuan and DILG Provincial Director Jerome Gonzales.

The drug bust took place on January 25, 2023 Dauis.

The suspect, John Albert Iter, a resident of Dao, Tagbilaran City, was arrested and found to be in possession of 1.2 kilos of shabu wrapped in Chinese tea bags.

Gov. Aumentado and Bohol PPO Provincial Director PCol. Lorenzo Batuan witnessed the successful operation led by Plt. Cheung and the Dauis MPS.

This buy bust operation is the biggest drug haul in the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) since 2020.

The commendation from the PPOC recognizes the hard work and dedication of Plt. Cheung and the Dauis MPS in their efforts to combat drug trafficking in their community.
