The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that it will open its application for Filipinos interested in taking the upcoming August 2023 Civil Service Exam. The application period will run from May 22 to June 21, 2023.
The exam, also known as the Career Service Examination (CSE), is an annual eligibility exam held twice a year for Filipinos aiming to acquire regular employment positions in government agencies. The Civil Service license has two eligibilities based on educational attainment: Subprofessional Eligibility and Professional Eligibility.
Subprofessional Eligibility is for those who graduated Senior High School or with a College Associate’s degree and are qualified to enter the first level of government service. Professional Eligibility is for passers who have bachelor degrees and may join the second level.
Individuals who have Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license are eligible for second-level positions (under Republic Act No. 1080), along with college graduates with Latin honors (Presidential Decree No. 907 of 1976).
The exam will be held on August 20, 2023, with November 03, 2023, as the target date for the release of results.
