Cong. Maria Vanessa Aumentado (extreme, right) was the main sponsor
of a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 19, 2023 as she turned over 2
houses to the recipients/beneficiaries under the “Libreng Alagad ug
Balay” program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) led by PCOL
Lorenzo A. Batuan, provincial director. The first house is located at
Lapacan Sur, Buenavista with Rewin Calago & family as
recipients/beneficiaries. The 2 nd house is located at sitio Tagaonan,
Poblacion Norte, Carmen with Timotea Cortes as recipient/beneficiary.
The 3 rd house will be turned over under a separate ceremony in the town
of Loon. Rep. Aumentado, during the occasion, thanked the PNP
especially Provincial Director Lorenzo Batuan, PLTCOL Norman Nuez,
Buenavista chief of police captain Edcel Petecio, Carmen chief of police
major Sam Dacullo, municipal officials, barangay officials, private
sponsors, volunteers and all those who helped make the project
successful. Rep. Aumentado said that a few months ago, in a
conversation she had with director Batuan regarding the housing
program, she and her husband, Gob. Aris Aumentado, extended without
any hesitation their personal money in the amount of P210,000.00 for
the housing material. She also thanked Buenavista mayor Dave Duallo
and Carmen mayor Conchita “Che” Toribio Delos Reyes for their
