- Monitor the weather and provide early warning of El Niño-related disasters.
The DA is also working with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) to track the progress of El Niño. PAGASA has forecast that El Niño will be moderate this year. However, the DA is preparing for the worst-case scenario.
