Bien Unido, Bohol – A student of Trinidad Municipal College (TMC) drowned while swimming at Playa beach resort in Brgy Puerto San Pedro, Bien Unido, Bohol on June 10, 2023 at 12:40 P.M., according to an initial report from the Bien Unido PNP.
The victim has been identified as John Lawrence Macua y Elicano, a 19-year-old first-year Criminology student and resident of sitio Bikal, Mandawa, Bien Unido, Bohol.
The Bien Unido PNP received a call from a concerned citizen informing them of the drowning.
Personnel led by PSMS Floriano Hinlayagan and PSSg Kennith Michael Item quickly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found the victim floating in the sea water.
The victim was taken to the RHU Bien Unido, Bohol but was declared dead on arrival (DOA) by Dr. Dennis M Lua, the Municipal Health Officer (MHO).
The incident is currently under investigation by the Bien Unido PNP.
