BLCI inaugurates new Mobile Substation

Bohol Light Company, Inc. (BLCI) will inaugurate its new 20
MVA Mobile Substation in Poblacion III, Tagbilaran City on
June 20, 2023.
The substation is expected to improve power reliability and
quality in the city and surrounding areas.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by BLCI officials,
local government officials, and members of the business
community. The program will start with an invocation prayer to
be led by Mr. Cesar O. Villegas, Vice President of BLCI. This
will be followed by the singing of the Philippine National
Anthem and the Bohol Hymn.
Engr. Paulino G. Almedilla, General Manager of BLCI, will
deliver the welcome remarks and overview of the project.
He is expected to declare that the new substation is a
significant investment in the future of Bohol’s power grid.

Definitely, he will express his words of appreciation to the local
government for their support and cooperation in the project.
Mr. Dennis T. Villareal, President of BLCI, will also deliver a
message of gratitude to the BLCI team for their hard work in
completing the project as he will also express his commitment
to providing reliable and quality power to the people of Bohol.
Mr. Alfredo L. Henares, Chairman of the Board of BLCI, will be
delivering a thanksgiving message as he will surely define the
new substation to be of the company’s commitment to providing
safe and reliable power to its customers.
Inspirational messages will also be given by Hon. Jane
Censoria C. Yap-Mayor of Tagbilaran City; Hon. Edgar M.
Chatto, Congressman of the 1st District of Bohol; and Hon.
Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado, Governor of the Province of
Bohol.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be led by Aumentado, Chatto,
Yap, Mr. Villareal, and Mr. Henares. This will be followed by the
switch-on ceremony and unveiling of the marker.
The event will be concluded with photo opportunities and
closing remarks by Mr. James Roy N. Villareal, Director of the
Sustainable Power Corporation (SPC).
The new substation is part of BLCI’s efforts to improve power
reliability and quality in Bohol.
The company has been investing heavily in its power capacity
in recent years, and the new substation is a significant step
forward in this effort.
BLCI is committed to providing safe and reliable power to its
customers. The new substation is a testament to this
commitment, and it will help to ensure that the people of Bohol
have the power they need to live, work, and thrive.

The substation, which can power up to 100,000 homes, can be
easily transported to other locations in Bohol if needed.
This makes it a valuable asset for BLCI, as it can be used to
provide power to areas that have been affected by natural
disasters or other calamity disruptions.
