LOON COMMEMORATES 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE. Loon Mayor
Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (foreground) leads the municipal government employees, national
government agencies personnel, Dep-Ed Loon South and Loon North officials and teachers, private
high schools administrators and staff, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection
(BFP) officials and personnel, during the commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of Philippine
Independence held at the Loon Plaza Rizal on June 12, 2023. The commemoration, which bared the
theme: “Freedom. Future. History.”, also featured the “Walk in the Park,” a trek through Loon’s uplifted
marine terrace and coral gardens that are a part of the UNESCO Global Geological Park, going down
from the Inang-angan in barangay Napo and proceeding to the coastal areas of barangays Lintuan,
