Woman arrested in Jagna buybust operation for illegal drugs

Jagna, Bohol – A woman was arrested in a buybust operation conducted by the Jagna Police on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

The woman, identified as Abigail Delig, 26, was arrested in Purok 7, Can-upao, Jagna Bohol.

The police acted on information that pointed to Delig’s involvement in drug-related activities. During the arrest, authorities recovered several pieces of suspected shabu that were believed to be distributed.

The seized items included a small piece of suspected shabu, which Delig allegedly sold, and four other small pieces of suspected shabu found in his possession. In addition, the police seized 500 pesos in cash believed to be related to the buybust operation, as well as a Motoposh-brand motorcycle and a personal Realme cellphone.

Delig is currently facing a case for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The police are still conducting further investigations to find out the possible connections or networks involved in Delig’s alleged drug involvement.

Delig’s arrest serves as a reminder that the fight against illegal drugs requires constant vigilance and cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the community. Jagna Police urges residents to report any suspicious activity or information related to the illegal drug trade to help ensure a safer environment for everyone.
