The Talibon Municipal Police Station in Bohol arrested a drug peddler in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday evening, June 21.

The operation was led by Chief of Police PCPT Amelito M. Melloria and was conducted in Brgy. Roque, Talibon.

The suspect is facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The buy-bust operation yielded one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu (subject of sale) and another thirty-one (31) pieces of alleged shabu was also recovered in the suspect’s possession during the body search after the arrest was made.

The marked Php 500.00 bill utilized as buy-bust money during the transaction was also recovered along with one piece color black coin purse used as container.

The Chief of Police expressed deep appreciation to the community for their unwavering support in the fight against illegal drugs. He also urged the public to continue providing information that can aid the police in their operations to rid the community of dangerous drug activities.
